1. I saw this advertised in my local paper on Friday.
I was like :wtf:?

Wasn't this the totally lame show that was on Fox before 9-11?

Why would anyone waste their hard-earned money on purchasing this DVD. It didn't even last a complete season....

2. my point is that they won't release a movie stateside
about Bush being killed; however, a dvd set of a sitcom ridiculing him was released.

and it wasn't on Fox -- it was on Comedy Central.

have you ever seen it?

All I know about it is that Timothy Bottoms played the role of the arsehole.

At the time, all I can remember is thinking is that good Lord, Mr. Bottoms has really reached the "bottom" of his acting abilities.

Yech!!!!

5. Okay, I'm out of the loop,
But Death Of A President was banned? I was hoping to see it this week. I haven't been down to get the Sunday paper yet, but I was going to look in there to see when it was playing (that, and Running With Scissors, although after reading that book I don't know how they'll be able to make a movie out of it).
Never heard of That's My Bush as I don't have cable, but it sounds like a good title for a porno film.
Maybe Death will be rushed to DVD if it really was banned. Thanks for the info.

7. It sets a very BAD precedent to release a movie about a sitting
President being assassinated to be shown in the USA.

I have no problem releasing the movie after he leaves office.

I can only imagine the outrage here at DU if the rethugs had made a movie about Clinton being offed while he was in office.

We have to be careful about how low we set the bar in attacking bushboy, as we will have to live with that standard in future elections.

I think this lowers the bar to low.

PS: Why in the world would someone buy a DVD when they can see it in real time everyday?

9. "Death of a President" is NOT banned; it's playing here in NY.
There have been a couple of reviews by DUers, in fact, from places other than NY.
