LateNight Nov.Surprise theorizing on "should he stay or should he go" Rumsfeld noise |
|
(1) Bush's commits to keep Rumsfeld.
(2) Military press calls for Rumsfeld's ouster.
(3) GOP Senators and Congressmen get behind call for Rumsfeld's removal.
(4) Bush removes Rumsfeld on Monday or Tuesday.
(5) GOP Senators and Congressmen are portrayed by the pandering media as reformist heroes who forced removal of Rumsfeld.

2. This one is plausible, |
|
since there wouldn't be much time for calling "flip flop" and other forms of ridicule. Still, it would stink of desperation. Hmmmmm.

4. I was thinking the same thing |
|
this evening. The media would eat this up and probably cancel all election coverage. I do, however, think there is a possibility that the public would see this as a sign the administration is crumbling.

8. He's a dangerous nutcase that controls the most powerful military in the world. |
|
Frankly, I don't see Dimson changing his mind...he is the Decider after all. It would be a monumental Flippity-Flop. Sorry military, join the majority in not having your interests represented.
