One big exception to our 50 state strategy was Olympia Stowe, who had no real challenge to her seat. In a region where we have eliminated all but one or two US House members out of 20, we have 4 US Senators that are GOP. Maine and New Hamphire have Senators up this time (Sununu and Collins). They should be easy targets. We also have Minnesota with the despicable Coleman. There are 21 GOP Senators up for reelection in 2008. We have only 12 to defend. We could also have a shot at Virginia. 55 Democrats has a nice ring to it.

1. If We Can Get Big Dog, Al & Kerry |

Behind a winning combination of John Edwards & Wesley Clark early so the Presidential thing is out of the way, then I think a 55 seat Democratic Senate is perfectly possible. Hillary & Barack dedicate themselves to expanding our majority with their fundraising prowess. Dems really get behind the 50 State Strategy. Someone co-opt Rahm Emmanuel's Fascist financing priorities.

2. I have a problem.....too many senators are currently thinking of |
|
running for Prez in 2008.
How are we gonna get things done, if they are all out on the campaign trail starting very early next year?

4. Maybe so....but raising money and strategizing on elections |
|
so soon after elections have been won is still a big job....considering that most of these folks sit on important committees.
