When was the last time a major party didn't pick up any seats
from the other major party in the senate, house and governorships?

The Republicans didn't pick up squat in 2006, right?

3. Dems took MT and NH governorships from Repubs, picked up CO senate
and I am sure there are others.

5. In 2004, we took House seats in CO, IL, GA, and NY
Senate seats in CO, and IL, and picked up governors in MT and NH.

2. Right!
And no, it *didn't* happen in 2004. I would look at the 1930's, maybe 34 or 36. But even then I think the Republicans took a seat or two.

I think we are in uncharted territory here.

Does any DUer have a definitive citation?

4. In 1994 there were no Dem pickups in the House or Senate
I am not sure about Governors though... I'll get back on that.

10. Wrong. I know that Pryor picked up a senate seat in AK for the dems.
And there were a few governors Dems picked up as well.
