I just read part of the LA Times article on Hillarys machine and they have been putting it together since the White House.
It scares me. It was awful living through the Bush Years. having to live through a Hillary Presidency is beyond my limit of bearing.
I am asking for a cold eyed look at who seriously can take Hillary down.

They just have to push her record - IWR... both "Patriot" acts... the first of the two awful bankruptcy bills (she missed the vote on the second)... sole sponsor of a bill to criminalize flag burning... fleeing from censure... co-sponsoring a bill with Lieberman to increase the military by 100,000 troops... "free" trade...

I think Gore's finished pretending to be a DLCer. Clark is smart and seems honest. Dean would be ideal, but he's not going to run.

How about Ted Kennedy? He's kicking ass these days, almost always votes correctly, and can't be older than McCain. (I know, it's crazy.)

12. Clark could be the populist candidate that would beat the others.

Although he is more progressive on the issues that any of the others (Kucinich excepted) he appeals to even the uninformed moderates and fear-driven masses. Although I'd prefer Frederich Engels or Jesus of the Beatitudes, or Gandhi or Wellstone, none of those seem to be on the list, being dead and such.

Because from what I've read her machine will make W's look amature. They have been plotting for a decade for this. Everything in place. Senate and then,
I'm a good democrat but, I could not take a Hillary presidency. No way no how.
I personally think that Gore has the white house for the taking anytime. I know he could literally crush the machine.
Right now I support Obama and think he could, probably better than most but, I do think Gore is a garantee.
I wonder what it'd take for him to run if it looked like she would get the nomination????

Ms. Clinton has been so deionized by the corporate media, there does not seem to be any road back.

Almost all of the good dems I know around here shake their heads when Hillary is mentioned. They like her, but know that nobody is really supporting her seriously.

I like her, so don't get me wrong. I just don't see any support strong enough to get her through.

Unfortunately, she's like George McGovern or Michael Dukakis. I don't believe she could win. As much as we might like a person, they will not have the political momentum to win.

That said, she probably can't win the general election because the hysterical

vote religiously in massive numbers, and they think a woman
wont be "strong" enough on national "security".

I just hope she doesnt try for it. I cant imagine why she would
want to be the first woman to run and lose.

Gore is the strongest candidate against any repub-IF learns how to make
make friends with all the groupie journalists. His personality is horrible.

Edwards could also defeat any republican. Obama is too young, untested,
and inexperienced-he would implode in what will be a long nasty campaign.

I think Hillary has been hyped beyond the stratosphere and that in reality her base is in the Democratic Party is much smaller than advertised. She has an army of PR people, true. I think the average Joe is sick of hype and spin and this will be her undoing. People are tired of snake oil salesmen selling them polls. Wonder how many of those polls represent wishful Rs trying to take Dems out. The Republicans want Hillary. She's their dream candidate.

I've said it before...I know of know Dem who plans to vote for her in the primary or who speaks enthusiastically for her.
