Assume the US is in the middle of a hard fought war with Mexico when California rebels and joins Mexico.

How would our government react. Would it be, "Sure, you can side with whoever you want. It's a Democracy, man." Or would our government bomb the shit out of California. And if they chose to do that, would they destroy infrastructure or just try to kill the people by, say, gassing them?

17. I don't believe in the death penalty

for anyone, not Sadaam and not dimson either. However, I think it would be fair that he live out his years under circumstances that he has made others live. He could get a Social Security check once a month, nothing else. Need meds? Well that donut hole really sucks W but you will have to choose food or medicine. Bills? Yeah, no trust fund for you, have the heat turned off a few times and Chavez will start to look like a pretty sensible and caring fellow offering his help. Maybe he would have to work but who is going to hire a 60 yr old with failures like he has had? Hours later, they'll perform the required autopsy and discover Shrub had used the rubber bands, cotton balls and duct tape to "prevent issue from his nether regions."
