No need for arguing about the upcoming elections...
I think that everyone needs to take a chill pill about whose candidate is the best. The media is trying to pick our candidates again before we get a chance to take a breather from the previous election. Some of these people may or may not run.

The media is steadily pontificating and trying to put doubts in our head about who we like or don't like...But as for myself I am not going to let them tell me who is best and don't let them define the party for you, what some of these pundits describe as a Democrat or progressive is not how I see myself.

1. But, if the media isn't doing its job, it is up to us to argue about it here
Ain't it?

6. Yes, but it is too early...
and they are really trying to pick who all of our candidates will be and then put the spotlight on who they want...

2. can you imagine...
if 'we the people' truly were able to pick our president? We are so like the fish used to swimming in the small pond, not realizing we have been transferred to the ocean. The 'electable'...so few human beings deemed capable...and yet we end up with the likes of King George. It makes me wonder how Bill Clinton ever managed to get elected...upon who's interests did he ascend?

3. Chill pill seconded
Good grief, I'm a mouthy bastard and my Top 3 aren't likely to change, but I'm for giving the candidates time to formulate their positions and show where they stand in coming months. We're in uncharted territory, a crisis of fundamental political values unseen since the 60s. I think we should press them across the board (and by that I don't mean underhand snipes masquerading as "questions to all"). In all coldbloodedness, dividing into camps now is a bad move. Don't do it.

7. They are pouncing on the candidates every word...
and movement and are trying to set us up by putting out their spin on who or what is best for the country and the democratic party... when I hear them now I get, a headache I can't listen...

... these people suck - even though they're on our team. See esp. the Assumers Of Bad Faith.

EDIT: Wrong "there/ir/y're". Sheesh.

5. Too early to argue
about specific candidates. Time now to listen.

8. The problem is that ...
the republicons want everyone to listen to their spin because they have already spent six years trying to define Hillary, they hate Clark and are afraid that he will get the nomination, I notice that last time with Dole and some other republicons they were coming out the woodwork and they were very angry. They are waiting for Obama to announce so that they can begin to pounce, they have tried to define Kerry because they know he is smart. Now they will work on Edwards this week...
