3. I tore off the front page of the NYT times and put it in the recycling.

WTF -- a guy on a scaffold on the front page of the newspaper? Like I need to be reminded how barbaric our world is while trying to eat my oatmeal?

OK, it's one thing that they hanged him. I'm against the death penalty, but I know others don't agree.

But what's with the need to SEE it? I've done my best to avoid the pictures, but even today there was a little picture in our paper.

It's sick. Our country is sick.

in a week or so I might be able to turn on a news program and not see any of it. Escaped it so far. I do NOT want to see any of it or hear what the news readers have to say. I am ashamed of it and sickened by it.

and that was more than enough.

I find the execution of any human being despicable. I read another thread today about feeling sympathy for saddam and I guess I do too in a way. I think it is more sorrow for what he could have been than what he really was, though.
