A Question about DU Forums that I don't "Get"

I've noticed lately that a LOT of posts are being moved from
"General Discussion" to the "DU Lounge"

A while ago The post about WKRP (not my post) was moved from GD to the Lounge

Why??....I mean. we have a "General Discussion/Politics" which I could understand something being moved if it was political...

So again..Why??

4. GD "politics" is for a more serious indepth discussion of politics. It's mainly there because of the

elections.

GD is a more "free for all" about everything political and anything closely connected to politics. WKRP had nothing to do with politics...did it?

And Katrina NOLA was "testing ground for exporting this shit" stateside. No matter how far I keep pushing the ball of dung further and further, at some point it's unavoidable (reluctant "now"?) to avoid that, feh, "we CAN'T deconstruct the shit" because we're really not......

There was a well-crafted, well-intentioned "can't we all get along?" OP that on first read-through seemed to invoke a grand, cotton-wool, ambivalence. One item mentioned in particular (ah, what was it, now?) there is much denial about and might be considered urgent, but is treated as another notch on the scale of political relativism..........................................

Reading UK music mags in the 90's as a fan of a Welsh band, loved the humor and was surprised how many rivalries and bitter "Hatfield and McCoy" regional feuds could be crammed into such a small isle....... predisposed to swallow the ill American imports?

5. There's an entertainment forum

the WKRP post would actually probably be better off there cause it would be informative to people who love TV (which I do). It's odd it wasn't moved over there. :shrug:

11. I don't know how these forums and posts are

moderated, but I imagine it comes down to a judgement call by someone. I guess it's inevitable that now and then they'll make a mistake or someone won't agree with the call.

15. Some people were complaining it wasn't all serious and there were

too many 'personal interest' posts in the GD. So they have begun to move those posts. Such division between louges and discussion forums are always taking place on internet sites. Just remember to try and "think" before you post. I know I will start. Tis one of many New Year resolutions.
