1. I keep telling everyone I know the same thing.

I remember years ago I used to keep it on as background while I worked in my home office, but have not been able to stomach it for the last twelve years. I am now retired and worry that I will become a couch potato.

5. I began watching CSPAN in 1979, 27 1/2 years ago.

I watched CSPAN in the summer of 1979 their first year. I saw Tip O'Neill, a fine speaker of the House lead the House.

I saw Jim Wright and Tom Foley serve as speaker as well and now I look forward to watching CSPAN again when Nancy Pelosi serves as the first woman as speaker of the House and Harry Reid leads the Senate. I also can't wait until Mrs. Pelosi sits behind the chimp in his next to last State of the Union speech. She will sit next to the Snarl.

I want to see the Democrats hold both houses of congress for at least 12 years and as much as another 40.

Thursday, January 4, 2007 marks the end of the Republican revolution.
