Should Andrea Mitchell turn her personal Ford stories (as Mrs. Greenspan) into TV fodder?
One example she told on MSNBC today was about arriving at the Ford house as a houseguest, with the late President insisting on carrying her suitcase. It just struck me as unprofessional. And maybe as a woman-in-a-job issue. She wouldn't have been a Ford houseguest if she weren't Mrs. Greenspan.

(Nit-picking, I know.)

2. Not as annoying
as Chris Matthews casually mentioning the movie they watched at Sally Quinn's house the other night.

3. I think he lives for Beltway social acceptance, and she's the Beltway queen.

What annoys me is her setting herself up as D.C.'s moral compass, when everyone knows she stole her boss/husband, WP editor Ben Bradlee, from his wife.

ON EDIT: And now writes a column on religion in the Post, with Jon Meacham, called "On Faith"!

put together.

she looks not one iota like she did when she stole Bradlee from his wife, or whatever the hell happened there. To the youngsters: it was a great big deal when it happened. To the oldsters: Remember all the romanticism around the Washington Post after Watergate?

And then they went after Bill clinton for a BJ, when half of the Post were on their knees...and that was just the males. We won't talk about the ladies...

6. And Sally appeared on TV during the entire Clinton thing, priggish and superior...
doing moral commentary, with a look of distaste on her face.

but that's the hpocrisy which cost this crowd the elections. At least the crowd who was holding elective office. The Bradlee/Quinn establishment cannot lose...they'll just start having dinner parties for mostly Dems.

11. Love that gossip! On their knees, huh?
I guess it's only immoral if Democrats do it.

10. I don't see a problem as they were
given in the appropriate context. They were talking about Ford the man and president and Mitchell could add to the story. It was not a segment dealing with straight news.
