9. The U.S. used the term "noose" a lot in reference to Saddam after the Invasion began.

You probably can't find those quotes now because they're lost in the deluge of information since the hanging of Saddam, but I remember distinctly the use of phrases such as "the noose is tightening" and "we're tightening the noose" in reference to the search for Saddam when he was in hiding.

They knew all along. They sure did.

I had forgotten about those "Western" euphenisms the bush administration is so fond of. Good catch. :thumbsup:
