DR. JUSTIN FRANK'S INTERVIEW WITH BUZZFLASH REGARDING GEORGE BUSH
Please read this article, it confirms our suspicions about George Bush and his sociopathic disorder. It's a long read, but it really tells us what we are dealing with.

Here is a snip:

Justin A. Frank, M.D., Author of "Bush on the Couch" Gets to the Heart of the Matter: We Have a Sociopath as President
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Tue, 01/02/2007 - 4:56pm. Interviews
A BUZZFLASH INTERVIEW

I think what he does is he turns everybody who disagrees with him into his father. It doesn’t matter whether it’s actually the concrete representation of his father, like Baker, or the voters who vote against staying in Iraq. We have become his father. We are the people he is now defying. He will turn everybody, any authority, anybody who disagrees with him, into a father figure who he’d have to defy. -- Justin A. Frank

1. Last week
a psychiatrist posting on kos, gave what I thought was an excellent analysis of bush. He essentially diagnosed him with NPD.

12. Many of us on DU have been convinced of exactly that for years.
DU archives contain several in-depth threads on this, going back to 2002, and they're easy to find with the relevant search terms.

3. in this interview Dr. Frank also suggested to invoke
the 25th amendment which reads here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty-fifth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

I wish more Americans would ask for this.

8. Heheh -
I suppose the twenty fifth amendment wasn't needed so much in earlier times when a president was perceived to be totally inept or mentally ill, he was often assassinated.

10. Here is Article Four of the "25th Amendment" and the VP has to be among
those who decide with Congress as to whether the President is "disabled" physically or mentally. I don't see how the issue of Cheney can be gotten around...since he isn't going to declare Bush unfit.

Here's the snip from Wici...

Section four: Involuntary withdrawal

It is also possible for the Vice President, together with a majority of the heads of the executive departments (that is to say, members of Cabinet) or of such other body as Congress by law provides, to declare the President disabled. The provisions of section four have never been invoked. An "involuntary" withdrawal may be declared for a variety of reasons. The most likely scenario, and the primary purpose of section four, is incapacitation. This results in both the inability of a president to discharge the duties of his office, and his inability to provide a written declaration to that effect. It is possible, however, for such a declaration to be made even if the president is fully able and conscious, should the majority of his officers find grounds other than medical disability, such as insanity, emotional instability, or conflict of interests, affecting national security. In any event, the president would continue to discharge the powers and duties of his office until Congress had reviewed the case and voted to strip the president of his powers, thereby preventing the president's officers from exploiting section four to stage an easy coup. The President may resume his duties by a written declaration sent to the President pro tempore and the Speaker. If the Vice President and Cabinet, however, are still unsatisfied with the President's condition, they may within four days of the President's declaration submit another declaration that the President is incapacitated. Congress must decide within 21 days the issue; a two-thirds vote in each House is required to permit the Vice President to assume the Acting Presidency. For the remainder of his term, the elected president remains the President (and the acting president remains the Vice President) albeit stripped of his powers and duties, and he may compell Congress to review his competence at any point in order to resume his duties.

13. Frankly, I'm pulling for a rapid onset and course of Pick's Disease.
The Chimp's frontal lobes aren't running on all cylinders anyway and his general cardiovascular health is likely to preclude coming down with vascular dementia or Alzheimer's disease. So, I guess we're left with Parkinsons or, the more likely, frontotemporal dementia.

14. "on what authority does he believe that he somehow has insights that no one else in the world has?"
The entire article is fascinating, even though, admittedly, it's also mostly conjecture. It makes perfect sense to those of us who think Bush is dangerous, but I can easily imagine his remaining supporters disagreeing.

However, it's kind of hard to dispute that Bush is either stupid or has a personality disorder when this question is posed (in reference to Bush's statement that he'll keep doing whatever he wants in Iraq until it's just him and Laura and Barney on his side): "on what authority does he believe that he somehow has insights that no one else in the world has?"

Aside from the nonanswer "God's authority," I'd be interested in hearing Bush's supporters replies to that.

15. Scary.
If Bush is, indeed, a person with little or no empathy, and if he feels isolated and guided by an invisible (and almighty) hand, what's to keep him from unleashing the nukes? He's already authorized the use of enough depleted uranium munitions to poison large parts of Iraq for a very, very long time.

Thanks, alyce douglas. :hi:
