Per CNN Shrub says:

"We've got to make sure we spend the people's money wisely," the president said in a Rose Garden statement.

What a bunch of BS!!! Mr. spend 8+ billion $$$ per month of our hard earned taxpayer dollars on your illegal war of aggression in Iraq. Yea that's wise!!! :sarcasm: On top of that, he is requesting a line-item veto so he can pick apart our spending bills.

Only now that he has been defrocked of some of his power, does he plead for no more "politics as usual". Gawd, please tell me that his disingenuous pandering is now visible in every corner of our political landscape.

We The People have heard enough! I expect our newly elected DEM majority to not negotiate any ground until and only until we have established and enacted many of the mandates which brought DEMS into the majority without one incumbent loss last November; that includes not authorizing one nut or bolt or additional soldier for a troop "surge." We will not grow or feed this insane military machine beyond taking care of the soldiers already on the ground and shipping them out of Iraq. Tomorrow begins the first day that BushCo chills at the White House without having absolute power in all 3 branches of government.

No words can express how much I welcome the checks and balances per the wishes of our country's founding fathers and mothers. WELCOME HOME 110th Congress!

1. Let the investigations begin!
Checks and balances.

Investigations.

Subpoena power.

All words that instill fear in the GOP.

We're coming to get you, and you know it!

2. Wisely. During the reign of Rumsfeld and Zakheim, the DOD
lost either 444 billion or 1.3 trillion or 2.3 trillion DOLLARS. All three numbers have been mentioned. Went missing. Never to be accounted for.

Dove Zakheim - Comptroller at DOD. Before that - operated business of flying aircraft remotely. After that - more manufacturing and spying as in data mining and databases.

Was that """"wisely""""? Billions or trillions.

And these are the guys who said they were going to bring their corporate talents to the White House wearing their suits and ties.

They said honor and integrity.

Instead, they brought PLUNDER and NO ONE CARES!!!
