Iowa's freshman Democratic Party congresspeople were on a local call in program

this morning as I returned from town. Callers from both parties were telling them to hold the administration accountable for the war and how we were lied into it and to get us out of it. One of them pointed to something King (R-IA nutjob) said about standing behind mission, and both of them said that they disageed with King and would not be working with him on this issue. They reiterated that they will listen to the people of their districts and may not always vote with the party leadership.

On another note, while the program was broadcasting, news came that a young man from Ottumwa had been killed in Iraq--the 49th Iowan thus far. Ottumwa is about 30 mi. down the road from here. Last month, it was a kid from Riverside.
