Dollar continues slide
Down another half cent since yesterday. According to oanda.com:

Wednesday, January 3, 2007

1 US Dollar = 0.75472 Euro

1 Euro (EUR) = 1.32499 US Dollar (USD)

Interbank rate +/- 0%

This means:
You buy 1 US Dollar : 0.75472 Euro
You sell 1 US Dollar : 0.75453 Euro
You buy 1 Euro : 1.32499 US Dollar
You sell 1 Euro : 1.32533 US Dollar

Median price = 0.75453 / 0.75472 (bid/ask)
Minimum price = 0.75204 / 0.75212
Maximum price = 0.75775 / 0.75832

1. This is outrageously off-topic, I know, but
what in the world do those lyrics mean from that Donna Sommer song in your sigline? I've been trying for thiry-odd years to figure that out. ;-)

of course.

P.S. Thanks a pantload, Commander AWOL Bush for causing the trashing the US dollar -- another massive screw up, like everything you touch.

relationship. By the way, it was written by Richard Harris, who recorded the original in 1968.

Edited: Richard Harris, not Rex

6. it means that
in space and time, a situation only occurs once...as in the start and continuation of a relationship. If you leave that cake (or relationship) out in the rain, it can be ruined..and although you may make or bake..ha..another cake (or relationship), you cannot ever have that cake or relationship again. The ingredients (in time and space) that allowed for the first one will never be again.

12. park
McArthur Park is the major park in downtown LA, and is symbolic of the city's shabbiness and funkiness.

9. I just returned from Ireland early in Dec...
at that time, it was about $1.40 to buy 1 euro...and almost $2 to exchange for 1 pound.

5. I read in our local newspaper about a boom in tourism from Europe.
A lot of Europeans are traveling here to the US because, well, it's pretty darn cheap (for them)!
