associate member? Got a letter today from 'Fight Back America' and USW President, Leo Gerard. It's whole purpose is to 'stop the right-wing assault on the basic values we share.' Includes, protecting workers, changing trade polices, protecting the environment, energy policy, and civil rights. What if millions of Americans joined as associate members? Could they merge with MoveOn, True Majority, PFAW, and others? Could we finally build organizations to rival the RW?

4. I want to join but don't have the money

I typically get all sorts of mailings like that, to join one progressive cause or another. Just can't afford any of them, but certainly I would like to subscribe to everyone that asks me to join.
