It's good that we knock heads over issues.
I enjoy a good dust up in the ranks, it's good for us to debate one another, instead of just preaching to the choir all the time, certain issues will cause upheaval among we liberals, and all in all it's a good thing.

Hell, it's silly to expect us all to agree all the time on every issue, we need to have debates, pro and con, up and down, yay or nay, this is how we work things out, by knocking heads occasionally.

I ENJOY hearing all sides, I enjoy hearing things I don't agree with, and I enjoy the opportunity to exchange opinions and learn about how others feel, instead of being a turtle in his shell.

Life is very short, and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends, I have always thought that it's a crime, so I will ask you once again, try to see it my way...we can work it out, we can work it out.

1. We have nearly 100,000 members
We cannot possibly agree on everything. Debate is good for all of us.

2. Our big tent is our strength and our weakness
Our diversity of opinion gives us the ability to see a multitude of problems from many different angles and take all factors into consideration. This provides us with the most informed approach to any given problem.

But that diversity also means we cannot have a focused agenda as the conservatives do. Each of us come bearing our own personal sense of what is most important. What issues are most pressing. While the right is not always entirely in lock step with one another they certainly are more so than us. That is their strength and weakness.
