Looks to me like the house is divided
From what I saw today you can forget about a joint effort to govern the people .

1. I agree. Same old, same old. Too many of the same old faces that
have been and will continue to be the problem.

2. It won't happen under Bush's reign.

Knowing the slithery way Bush operates to maintain the upper hand, he's not about to let his rubberstampers play nice with the Democrats. There's no telling how far Bush has gone in phone tapping & other surveillance avenues for his own political gain.

For Rethugs, holding political office is not about doing good for the People, it's about power & greed for themselves enabled by their corporate friends' campaign money. All legislation coming from the Republicans are advantageous only to their rich, benefactor corporations; to the rich & powerful 1% whose money goes to Rethug political campaigns; or to the politicians themselves for political gain. If I'm wrong about this, I urge anyone to point out any legislation from the 108th or 109th Congress that benefits the little guys.

3.  Oh , I agree
The repubs today visually distanced themselves from the incoming dems .
I don't see this changing . They are going to try to hold their ground against the people and for their corporate base even if this involves some arm twisting from the bush/cheney criminals .

4. As long as the Democrats stand their ground I'll be happy.
Be alert & don't give the Rethugs an inch when it comes to circumventing fair & just legislation.
