My victory over the neocons, at least for now.
Edited on Thu Jan-04-07 06:24 PM by pabsungenis
For those who have been following my battle with the site that has been reproducing my (and a lot of other people's) essays wholesale, and willful reproduction of my comic strips on their site.

Leaving aside, for now, the libelous statements made my at least two of their participants (one who implied and one who openly claimed that I am a child molester), I'm pleased to report a victory. My cartoons have finally been removed, and my essays limited to the first several paragraphs, just enough to qualify under the fair use provisions.

A copy of the official letter acknowledging this can be found at my LiveJournal. For obvious reasons, it is not reproduced here.

My thanks to everyone here for their encouragement this past month.

1. Hooray!
I'm glad of your victory--and must confess I've become addicted to your strip--bookmarked and viewed every day. But my heavens, how in the world are you going to get Liz's brain back???????

2. Here's a hint.
Tomorrow Victoria criticizes Edward for being heartless. Then she goes "Wait a minute. Brainless, heartless, OH NO."

Thus we lead into next week. :)

4. I can hardly wait
there's something about the juxtaposition of modern dialog with the static old pictures that tickles my funny bone, especially Edward (and Victoria wearing Patton's helmet-yes, I went back and looked at ALL of the strips from the beginning!)

3. It might be short lived.
A couple of them are bragging about how they have my address now. Considering what they did to Ava and other people here, I wonder what they have planned for me now.

Oh, and the matter isn't completely settled yet. I forced acknowledgment of my copyrights by them and the removal of my material; their claim had been that nothing I produced was subject to copyright, and their removing the material is a tacit admission that it was. However, I still need assurances that this isn't going to happen again, and that's going to need major changes in their policies.

And there's still the libel claims to be dealt with. Calling me a child molester certainly stepped over the line.
