I WAS supposed to work today I thought. But, I heard from my boss late last night that I had the dates confused, so I actually had the day off instead. I enjoyed every glorious moment of it too. Considering that I had workmen here (4 of them) working on my oil burner during the best parts of the day, I had warned them when they arrived that any loud noises, clapping, jumping up and down, cheering, or other sounds of merriment were not to be confused with any emergency that needed their attention. They should carry on with their work and ignore the sounds coming from my living room. They laughed then and I am sure they laughed at me later when they heard me cheering as well. I don't care though. I enjoyed every glorious, spectacular, history making moment of it.

We had many "official threads" (6 total) going at the time. You should check them out and watch the rerun (which I think might be happening now on C-SPAN). It will be as if you were there then.
