I believe they need to be getting legislation on time and within a good amount of time to review it. I don't care how badly they treated us, I'd like to make them whine, I'd like to make them the crybabies and treat them like shit for a good while because they'd never dream of doing the things to us that they are now asking. But the fact of the matter remainds that we ran on bipartisanship, and if the first thing we do is lock out the Republicans then you can expect that when the shit hits the fan the only people that fingers will be pointing at is us.

because the President has the power to veto something which Republicans in general won't like, and since the majorities are not super majorities, it's impossible to overrule them.

The situation now for the Republicans is quite different from the one in which Mrs. Pelosi offered her bill of rights, which the pugs want.

For a period of a little more than four years we had no political representation with power in the bargaining process at the national level. 48% (in 2004) had no ability to voice their opinions.

The Republicans still control the Presidency. However, if we were to maintain control of Congress and they would lose the WH in '08, I would support minority rights for them then. But is should be conditional on whether someone has any ability to affect the legislative process, not solely on who controls Congress.
