This isn't a joke, though. Read the entire story...this John Orman guy is a hoot! The snips don't do it justice. I especially like the party charter he developed...if you lose an election you must leave the party and then actively campaign against it. LOL!

Joe's Happy To Leave Party Behind

Rick Green, Hartford Courant
January 5, 2007

John Orman has seized control of the senator's spurious Connecticut for Lieberman party and he isn't giving it back.

Not that it matters to Lieberman, who cooked up the canny idea for a new political party to squeeze his way onto the ballot after Ned Lamont beat him in the Democratic primary last summer. As everyone knows, Lieberman won the election, climbed back on the national stage and left the Connecticut for Lieberman party with us rubes back here who just don't understand his Iraq views.

<snip>

Orman, though, told the registrar in Trumbull that he was leaving the Democrats and signing up for the Connecticut for Lieberman party. Then he went home and held a party convention - for one person, himself.

"I had an election on Nov. 15 at my house. I nominated and I seconded myself as chairman of the Lieberman Party," Orman told me. "I unanimously voted for me. I nominated and elected myself as chairman."

1. I'm just waiting for all of these Lieberman jibes to finally result in Connecticut's
cry-baby Senator switching parties and issuing the loudest "nya, nya!" on the planet. In many ways this makes him the most powerful Senator serving. With his little hint that he might, kinda, I-don't-know, just maybe switch parties, the Dems will always have to keep that in mind and kiss his ass every now and then.

3. Which is why
We have to work to elect more Dems to the Senate in 2008. With so many Republics up in 2008, we stand a good chance of at least picking up 2-3 seats in 2008. If that happens, we can say adios to Joe. Au revoir, sayonara, zai jian, and don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

2. Even if it comes to 2012
Lieberman can just go ahead and create still another party to get his name on the ballot.

4. The "Connecticut Really, Really for Lieberman. Honest!" party?
It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Also, it would be hysterical to see Joe having to run against his own party!

"The Connecticut for Lieberman" party had no new ideas!" I can just hear the stump speeches now! LOL!

6. well, he should have named it differently in the first place
If he truly had the best interests of Connecticut at heart, it should have been the "Lieberman for Connecticut" Party.

But, his actions show that it is really "Lieberman for Lieberman"
