So, when do the Reps agree not to filibuster?
Remember how quick the Republicans created a bipartisan group that wrangled the Dems
into agreeing that they wouldn't filibuster?

Since the Dems are in power now, I was just wondering if the Dems had created their own bipartisan group,
and when exactly we could expect the Republicans to agree not to filibuster?

1. My call, from when this whole 'nuclear option' thing was brought up, was that
the repukes would suddenly find the filibuster a-okay again once they were in the minority. I expect no bipartisan offering from them. I do, however, expect many filibusters.

I do think that the 'nuclear option' loophole should be closed, so the next time the thugs are in the majority, they'll be unable to play that bogus card.

2. That was for judicial nominations only.
And it really wouldn't make much sense. Republicans filibustering would have the same effect as voting down Bush's nominees. Therefore, Republicans wouldn't want to filibuster anything and would be more likely to push for a vote, as they have in the past.

3. The Democrats only agreed not to filibuster judicial nominees
Not bills, not other nominees. And that agreement was not made by the Democratic Caucus, it was made by seven Democratic Senators.
