So what is the new Congress going to do about the secret ops already in Iran?

What are they going to do about the US overflights to provoke attacks in Iran? Just like we did with Iraq no doubt. The US and Israel already have boots on the ground inside Iran just as they did in Iraq before the invasion. The Congressional intel committee surely must know about this. If not, and it can be proven, is this enough grounds for impeachment? Waging an undeclared war inside a sovereign nation without Congressional approval?

5. Trust me, we have special operations forces in Iran

You're not going to find a concrete source, because of the very nature of these deployments. But it's safe to say that there are special operations forces in pretty much any country that we deem adversarial.

3. We need to put an end to secret ops

I've always been against our covert operations in countries around the globe. The vast majority of these are either trying to prop up some right-wing dictator, or trying to take out some "leftist" government (ie Hugo Chavez).

4. Probably not much. And IMHO the nation needs real honest HUMINT on Iran

to prevent more deceptions like those that led us into Iraq.

Of course, the issue is whether under the *administration high quality, accurate HUMINT is possible.
So long as there are old Team-B members in positions of influence, the absence of evidence will be evidence of undetected threats and cherry-picking to support pre-determined outcomes for already determined policy positions will rule the process.
