Or, to put it better, the lack of security.
"Venice police officer Ron Perisho was commended for detecting that five aviation fuel trucks parked at the Venice Municipal Airport were unattended, unlocked and had keys in the ignition Tuesday night.
"It was good policing," Venice Police Deputy Chief Dan McGoogan said, "and I applaud him."
After making the discovery, the officer locked the trucks and took the keys.
According to the police report, the trucks were loaded with approximately 6,000 gallons of fuel.
Four of the trucks belonged to Huffman Aviation. The fifth truck was a leased vehicle, according to a Huffman employee.

In January (of 2002), a Gondolier Sun reporter had unfettered access to planes and fuel trucks during an a unannounced visit. When McGoogan and Dekkers were told about the visit they said someone should have stopped and questioned the reporter."

It almost seems like running a flight school is something these guys don't know how to do very well.
