Wow. I knew it was a powerful image when I saw it on TV yesterday but seeing it on the front page of the NYT just cements it.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, for the first time a woman, taking the gavel behind the podium and surrounded by children. Doesn't get anymore poignant than that.
