What the fuck? Is there not ONE honest republic house member? Where has this guy been? And why is he still going on and on about a bill that already passed?

How hollow is THIS gesture? Give the dictator even MORE power, instead of just stopping the horrible practice in the first place! WTF? No president should have the line-item veto. The legislature should be forbidden from sending the president 3600 pages of anonymous earmarks, not just say "we can't control ourselves!" and cede more power to Bush.

Don't know that I've heard of Rep. Steve King, but this sounds a lot like the crazy motherfucker from New York, Peter King, who can't walk three steps without putting on the Holy Mantle of Victimhood (or, "It's Hard Out Here for a Well-Connected White Guy").

He is still on about people sneaking earmarks into bills late in the night, so Bush needs the line item veto. But the dems want NO earmarks, or at the very least, FULL DISCLOSURE AND TRANSPARENCY. King wants the opportunity to sneak pork in and attempt to get it through the process unnoticed, and leave it to Bush to choose what to veto. But Bush does this already with the Signing Statement. This is PURE bullshit. 100%. A self-centered douche like Bouche will simple line-item veto anything democrats add while letting all republic earmarks to go through.
