Update on Crawford Peace House

“I don’t think any of us know where the Crawford Peace House is going,” Lucas says. “The peace house has always been a spontaneous organization. In some ways, we’re driven by the news.”

One thing its believers — and unbelievers — know, however, is that it’s made a lasting impression on the tiny town of Crawford.

“The peace house will find a place in history,” says Hadi Jawad, a Pakistan-born Dallas businessman who helped start the peace house.

“Some day, there’ll probably be a historical marker in front of that house. It really saw the first time somebody put the brakes upon the Bush administration’s relentless policy of war in Iraq and woke up the entire nation.”

There's a Peace Farm just outside of Amarillo, Tx. Unfortunately, it's pretty much a permanent place because of Pantex. Pretzledents come and go but the business of weapons continues.
