A "Bush bash"! Jeb, George H.W. and Barbara to "celebrate reading"
Edited on Fri Jan-05-07 05:13 PM by Bluebear
Hmm, Jeb. Doro. Babs. Poppy...which Bush is not scheduled to appear to "celebrate reading"?

====

Former Gov. Jeb Bush will host Florida’s Celebration of Reading at the Hyatt Regency on Coconut Road on Feb. 16. He’ll be joined by his famous mom and dad — former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush — and his sister, Doro Bush Koch.

Joining the Bushes will be several authors, including Haven Kimmel and Eric Carle. Kimmel is the author of “Something Rising (Light and Swift)” and “A Girl Named Zippy,” a Today Show Book Club selection. Carle writes children’s books, including “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” “Dream Snow” and “The Very Lonely Firefly.”

Doro Bush Koch is herself an author, having written “My Father, My President: A Personal Account of the Life of George H.W. Bush.”

The event will benefit the Florida Family Literacy Initiative, which makes grants to literacy programs around the state.

Tickets cost $250, which includes the Celebration Dinner immediately following the reading program. The event begins at 6 p.m. Sponsorships are also available.
