A film that is a really eerie parallel to what happened to us the last six years...
is THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED about the coup attempt against Hugo Chavez. One of the creepiest things in it was how the anti-democratic elite used the media to trick Chavez into to staying in the country--then BRAGGED about it on TV! They also used every Fox News, talk radio insult about Chavez, saying he was crazy and had a gay infatuation for Castro. Then when the people and the military took over the palace, the private media refused to show it.

The coup plotters in their brief stay in power said they were restoring democracy, then proceeded to dissolve the assembly and supreme court. Restoring democracy by destroying it--that doesn't sound familiar, does it?

The sad part about it was Chavez was talking about neo-liberalism and how the people were being screwed by "globalization" and the people seemed to actually understand what he was talking about (in spite of the private media being as vapid as ours).

This film doesn't have a US distributor, and I can see why. If you can find it online, post the link.

2. Probably the most inspiring film for citizens world wide.
I haven't seen a film show the power of the people like this, ever.

It speaks for itself.
