Re the Polish Archbishop mess
Edited on Sun Jan-07-07 08:05 AM by malaise
How come the pope can be a young Nazi but the Archbishop resigns an hour before his installation because he was a communist collaborator. Guess if he was just an old pedophile he would be Archbishop now. The catholic church is corrupt beyond belief.

1. Were you aware that the Catholic Church ordained women and married
men in the 70's in Czechoslovakia so an underground church would survive in the event of a Communist crackdown? I sure wish that the Catholic Church in the US would come under attack. RIght now we're seeing the hierarchy close parishes rather than ordain women and married men!

2. What a pity
the sooner the CC disappears the better. They have always been on the wrong side of humanity.

your own narrow view is the only view.

i critisize the cc very harshly -- but that statement or yours is just stupid.

6. You're making the same mistake the Pope and other bishops are making.
"The Catholic Church" is not just the hierarchy, it's all of us.

I left that corrupt institution decades ago. They propped up every dictator in Latin America. Shall I go on. On whose behalf did all the indigenous people of this hemisphere die?

Add.

4. Being a communist is apparently worse than being a Nazi.

5. Not that I'm defending the current Pope,
but it's my understanding that he was a child at the time he joined the Hitler Youth, and didn't really have much of a choice. It's my understanding that the Polish fellow collaborated with a repressive communist regime as a freely choosing adult.

I have many issues with Pope Rat, but his situation of being a child growing up in Nazi Germany is nowhere near the biggest. It's not really any of my business, since I'm not Catholic, I'm just saying that I can see where the distinction here makes some kind of sense.
