4. Biden made an excellent point

when he said that the surge would use the last bullet in our gun (or something like that) and when it doesn't work it will demonstrate our impotence and embolden our enemies.

He's sharp in the diplomatic arena, he is a big picture type, and he adds to the discussion. So I don't want him to go away. I want him to stay and contribute his viewpoints.

He's betting on a Democratic president. He'd like the job, but he knows that is a long shot. But when you run, you're applying for cabinet jobs, too. I think he wants to be SECSTATE myself, that he's had enough of the Senate. I've always thought he had his eye on that job....or maybe UN ambassador. His first love is diplomacy.

The more people with a little gravitas on the platform duking it out, the better our party platform will be come the convention. That's always good. I don't go for these 'anointed' candidates anyway. They all need to fight it out in public. So I say let him run...I can't see him overcoming that Neil Kinnock business; it's bound to come up again, like it or not. And he's had brain surgery--that's gonna be a chitchat point too. And let us not forget those hair plugs!
