The group Ohio Majority Radio
http://ohiomajorityradio.com/ is leading the way to save progressive talk radio in central Ohio. To that end, they have organized an online petition and rally to raise awareness and garner support.
John Crenshaw at Clear Channel has indicated that on Monday he will listen to concerned citizens' reasons for keeping progressive talk radio, WTPG, on the air in central Ohio.
Those who spoke directly to him feel he "might" consider a "stay of execution".
Ohio Majority Radio is encouraging everyone to show their support for Progressive Talk in Columbus by doing one of 2 things, or both.
1. Sign the petition at
http://www.ohiomajorityradio.com/ . Mr. Crenshaw feels that
only those with zip codes starting with "43" count as that is the listening
area.
2. Attend the rally and mock funeral procession. If only a handful show up,
he will think there is little support for progressive talk. Mary Jo Kilroy plans to attend and Mayor Coleman will do a live "call in" to Stephanie Miller. See more details on the pdf that is on Ohio Majority Radio's website,
http://ohiomajorityradio.com/ . PDF takes awhile to download, but is worth the wait.
Please forward this e-mail to everyone you know who listens to WTPG and
also ask them to sign the petition.
Thanks--
