McCain, Guliani, Brownback, Romney, Gingrich
Damn, I'm feeling optimistic about taking the White House in 2008.

Could Mitt Romney even win his own state in a presidential election? Guliani and Gingrich... aren't they adulterers who would have a hard time getting votes from married women? Brownback... isn't he a darling of religious nutcases, a la Frist and Santorum? McCain... isn't he the biggest political whore in memory?

Any one of Edwards, Clark, Obama, or Clinton would clean their clocks, especially in debate (Gingrich could probably hold his own, but those others? pfffft.)

Quick, somebody, bring me back down to earth.

2. My worry is that if the RNC can sell the country on Dubya and get
him elected twice, then anything can happen. Plus, there's the corporate media ready and willing to prop up the Repub and bash the Dem.

I'd like to think the American people have had their eyes opened up finally, but still I worry.

3. I was listening to a Calif. radio station a little while ago, and they were
talking about McCain hiring Terri Nelson and David Tray to help run his campaign. The guest on the radio said both of those consultants were associated with the Swift Boaters, the McCain black child story, and the phone jamming scam. That tells ME that McCain is hell bent to win no matter what means he has to use. I'm not sure if I'm sad or glad, but I don't think the Dems have the nasty temperment to fight things like that!

12. From what they said on that radio show, he's already hired them.
I can't believe he's sunk that low, or maybe he's now convinced that the only way to win is by being dirty!

8. I'm not sure how good Romney's approval ratings were when he
left office, but the fact that Deval Patrick was elected in 2006 tells me they realize they made a mistake and have redeemed themselves.

10. Don't sell John McCain short. He's also an adulterer
He admitted that his adultery probably was the cause of the failure of his first marriage.
