If escalation makes sense?
Why can't we get other nations to add the additional 20,000 troops? Why are they all pulling out of Iraq? If a democratic Iraq is so important, why is it such a hard sell to these sympatheitic nations? Why is the U.S. the only nation willing to sacrifice their soldiers for this ploy?

The answer, of course, is easy. No one else is as stupid as Bush. They followed him over the cliff, and the few surviviors have crawled off licking their wounds. Bush will never be able to muster support for any war effort from now on. This is a national emergency that can only be dealt with by impeachment. NOW!

2. It's "Give 'Em Rope" Diplomacy
Maybe this escalation will draw the bloodletting to a head...forcing the withdrawl of our forces under less than ideal circumstances (visions of Saigon '75) Maybe...just maybe, this fool-hardy exercize of arrogance, ignorance and hubris will create such moral outrage within and without the U.S. that could strengthen Democrats hands in both forcing booosh to get our troops out of that hell-hole and help elect Democrats in 2008.

This invasion has long since had any international support outside of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. & 10 Downing Street. The rest of the world stands by, like they have in other failed occupations and let the toil on blood and treasure dictate events.
