We get shark coverage and the Brits get a ten year old car accident coverage.

1. Same one. It's been "on hold" for three years
Why, I don't know. I think this one is to determine whether she was wearing proper knickers at the time of the collision.

2. Sadly, there are sections of the RW media
That treat it like the Kennedy assassination. And this government panders to that media on an almost non-stop basis

9. Too true
There are certain people with whom the tabloids are obsessed and Diana is one of them. Especially the Daily Express.

Ironically, this obsession may have contributed to her death, as the accident occurred when Diana and Dodi were trying to avoid the very-determined paparazzi.

3. Diana's death is as tinfoily in the UK as the JFK assassination in the US
Isn't it obvious that both deaths were Masonic plots to clean up wayward elements of the descendants of the Grail? :silly:

4. That's even worse than Vince Foster then
Republics investigated his death 5 or 6 times - and finally the last time, that liberal activist judge Tony Scalia said "enough" and put the kibosh on investigation 6 or 7.

5. by pretending di's death was conspiracy, they cover over real ones,
like david kelly, or the london bombing, or the DSM's etc... like in the JFK investigation, phony info is spread, and other efforts to feed the paranoia by fabricating documents, etc, sorta an innoculation against truth, with conning of the trusting herd the objective...btw JFK WAS murdered by a buncha conpirators around the dulles brothers and george bundy/hoover/henry luce etc...oldbush earned his patch helping out
lol

6. The Diana thing is driven by 2 men.
Mohammed al Fayed who is convinced it was all a plot and wants to embarrass the UK Government because they have denied him citizenship/peerage on the not unreasonable grounds that he is .... ummmmm less than scrupulous in his accounts. I am being very careful here 'cos he has never been accused of being an outright crook so far be it for me to suggest any such scurrilous idea.

The other is Richard "Dirty" Desmond, former friend of Tony Blair, owner of the Daily Express newspaper and other publications of a more specialist nature, certain special interest phone lines as well as a minor satellite channel of the sort that warns against allowing minors access. He dislikes the government because he has not been given a peerage - though in the past even whore-masters to the Monarch were ennobled.

There has been 1 previous British inquest into the Diana's death, a somewhat flawed affair that was dependent upon French evidence (if there is one thing "little englanders" hate it is the frogs). There was a second inquest into Dodi al Fayed's death in Scotland where he was nominally resident. A judicial review found that there might have been some flaws in the French proceedure and evidence so a British investigation and further inquest was ordered.

7. Mother of the future monarch. Beloved icon. What is it you insist on

being disingenuous about here, regarding Diana's popularity and the questions surrounding her untimely death?
It's not like there isn't a major movie out now about Elizabeth's response.

And that we aren't still reading about Marilyn Monroe FORTY-FIVE years later.

8. ..about to get into campaigning for the Palestinians,
and very successful in the anti-landmine campaign.
And news of Diana's death replaced the then breaking story of former MI5 agents David Shayler and Annie Machon.
