Stephanie Miller Just Talked About Me.....

The mentioning of the person who miss-booked their travel to Sydney MT not Australia and ended up at the Billings MT airport for three days.....That was my flight that was in my operational control....the person made the error while booking a ticket online....the only wrong statement was the passenger was not left at the Billings airport for three days.....My company put the passenger up in a motel in Sydney for the night, flew them back to BIL the next morning and then on to Boise where then we turned them over to American West airlines who's site the person booked their flight on and wished him luck......We have had this happen to people traveling Glasgow MT and they get there and wonder why Scotland is so dry and brown.

The caveat of this story.....you are %100 responsible for self booking yourself on-line so verify the ITN before you hit submit.....the cost to my company for this situation was about $500.00 which was racked up to good customer service.

3. Hee hee
I have had a problem where I wound up at Dallas Love Field instead of DFW Airport and had to pay for a taxi back to DFW to get my car. Ok, yes, I did not check the reservation, but annoyingly, this was a booking that I made talking to A HUMAN BEING at Orbitz, and HE was the one who did it! I have never, EVER booked myself to the wrong airport.

Funny thing was, that was the second time that week. The first time was deliberate -- weather-related.

4. Hince.....

....Why you should become a wise consumer.....Always check your itinerary...Orbitz will e-mail you a confirmation ITN, in most cases you have a period of 24 hours to examine it and make changes with no service fee's including a %100 no questions asked refund if you just decide no to go...I'll bet you now know the difference between DAL and DFW!!!!

BTW if you support USA labor don't book with Orbitz/Expedia/Travelocity....their call centers are mostly in India and the Philippines...it may cost more to book with the carrier or a local travel agency but you are supporting us all...

5. Ah, I'm never booking with Orbitz again.
I mean, yeah, I didn't look at the freaking itinerary, so my bad, BUT, what on earth made that dude think I would want to leave and arrive out of TWO DIFFERENT AIRPORTS? I'm sure HE didn't know the diff himself! :D

6. Travelocity set me up that way
I was working online and after confirming cheapest options it had me leaving from Providence RI (PVD) and returning to Hartford CT (BDL). For those that know the area these airports aren't even close (> 100 miles), I can only imagine what it would have cost to take a cab from one to the other.

Luckily I noticed before confirming the order and I was able to change it so I left and returned in Connecticut at an extra cost of around thirty bucks.

to Ontario Canada, instead of California. Luckily he asked "Wow, Air Canada flies from Chicago to California now"?"

color me------>red-faced.. But that was back in the day when changes and cancellations were "no-charge"

8. For the Past Several Years
When I book online if I only enter a city for destination, and don't mention a state, the next page entered will give me the option for every city by that name where there's an airport.

You've gotta wonder, sometimes.

10. A basketball player who was supposed to be going to Canton College in NY
flew to Canton, OH. I guess he waited for awhile for someone to pick him up before calling to find out why no one was there.
