1. I'm sure some of them knew...
what it was all about.

I remember even before I found DU and I was out in the wilderness relying on the "mainstream" media for news...even then I knew the invasion was about oil. Heck, I remember being on a non-political site and had mentioned it and some Republics there felt hurt that I would suggest that Herr Bush could even consider something so evil.
