1. Thanks. Many of my camp counselors during the summer that

followed the shootings were Kent State students. They were still in shock when their jobs began in June and just beginning to heal by the end of summer. For those of us kids paying attention, they planted in us the seeds of activism. (I was 10.) All of the campfire songs were about peace and love. There were lots of tears.
