Ha. Santorum Finds New Job

Santorum Paid Big Bucks to be Scared of Everyone

Everyone calm down — Rick Santorum found a job! He’ll be paid a lot of money to “work” for the Ethics and Public Policy Center, a group whose name has once again made the Top Ten Most Ironically-Named DC Think Tanks list. The former Pennsylvania Senator will be directing the center’s brand-new “America’s Enemies program.” The program’s mission is to make as many enemies as possible and try to convince people to be terrified of them.

“It’s a stark name,” says Santorum. “But we wanted to be candid about the fact that America really does have enemies and to point out that the nature of these enemies is much more complex than what people realize. It’s not just Islamic fascism, but also Venezuela, North Korea, and, increasingly in my opinion, Russia.”

1. Is this something from The Onion?
Someone would be terrified of Santorum? Maybe when he was in a position to affect national policies, but this is silly!

2. Hmm wouldn't you know it Hannity had a "Enemies of the State" segment
on his new solo Fox News show on Sunday. Gee I wonder if there is any corroboration going on there...nah they probably aren't that organized or anything.

3. That's "Amercan corporation's enemies" Santorum will attack.

Like that awful (sarcasm) Venezuela, daring to stop Big Oil from ripping off their country's natural wealth; or nationalizing the phone system when some foreign corp. (Verizon) could make such huge profits off of what should be a regulated public utility. Santorum would have fit in really well at the World Bank, also - making loans on terms which subsidize projects that favor international corporations coming in to run sweatshops. (The most outrageous was where the World Bank tried to make a country privatize their water supply so that corporate profiteers could charge unaffordable rates to the poor. The poor were even prohibited from collecting rainwater. That attempt was not successful, but the World Bank gave it the old college try.
