Conservatives don't understand the difference between poking fun and just poking

Example: Republican pollster Frank Luntz stated, "I always use the line for Nancy Pelosi, 'You get one shot at a facelift. If it doesn't work the first time, let it go.' "

I hate to repeat the line, but I heard Luntz quote it in an interview on Fresh Air. He accused bloggers of not having a sense of humor or fairness. He complained that left wing bloggers poke fun at Bush but cried foul when he coined the above phrase. There is a difference between mocking someone's attitudes and actions and labeling someone ugly. Calling someone ugly is not funny.

For the record, I should look as good as Nancy! I suspect Nancy looks good because of years spent in the San Francisco fog. It moisturizes the complexion while preventing sun damage!

edit- i'm not too keen on calling people out on their looks.

But Jr. does look like a Smirking Chimp, Pelosi HAS had too much face work done and Luntz looks like an impotent schmuck.

5. Calling Bush a chimp describes his attitude and demeanor, not his looks.

Calling him a "childish drunken frat-boy who wouldn't be able to tie his shoes or wipe himself if left on his own" doesn't say anything his looks either.

3. Rethugs don't recognize humor at all

They just use it to advance their own sick and selfish agendas. There's a million diagnosees out there ranging from sociopathy to narcissistic personality disorder that helps explain their behavior but even if the rethug isn't sick, there are many that are simply so uninformed that they can't connect the logic in a joke.

For example, I loved the WH presscorp response to Stephen Colbert's routine at the last "roast", the presscorp whores just sat there silent and stunned.
