Watch out, Georgia: "Finally – A Bill That True Christian Lawmakers Can Support"

MEDIA ADVISORY, Jan. 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- After 34 years of attempting to push through incremental political legislation to end child killing, over 50 million children have been killed “legally” in the US. We are doing things the wrong way. Here is the best approach yet.

A truly pro-life Bill, designated House Bill1, sponsored by Bobby Franklin and co-sponsored by Melvin Everson, will be brought before committee in the Georgia State House on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Dr. Alveda King and Sandra Cano, the Doe of Doe v. Bolton, will be present for the hearing
(HB1) is, without a doubt, the very best bill that any state has brought before its legislative body yet. It certainly encapsulates the principles of Scripture. The only thing it does not do is quote the Word of God – too bad! It is truly an all out declaration that human life begins at conception and therefore is due protection under the color of Law.

HB1 states, “Justice Blackmun, writing for the majority in Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973), wrote: 'when those trained in the respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus, the judiciary, at this point in the development of man's knowledge, is not in a position to speculate as to the answer .' Now, 30 years later, the General Assembly knows the answer to that difficult question, and that answer is life begins at the moment of conception;” HB1 Article 5 section a)

“As a direct result of three decades of legalized abortion on demand, the nation has seen a dramatic rise in the incidence of child abuse and a dramatic weakening of family ties, with the infamous Roe v. Wade decision pitting mothers against their children and women against men” HB1 Article 5 section a) 4

This is the beginning of something very significant. We are seeing a definite move from the foolishness of the “incremental approach” to an all out stand on God’s Word. There is no stain of incrementalism or compromise in HB1. The Bill simply expands on our motto, no apologies, no exceptions! There are no excuses in HB1 to kill a child if certain criteria are met. Rev. Flip Benham, Director, Operation Save America/Operation Rescue.

1. What the fuck? Can't they think for themselves?
These people are a bunch of brain dead idiots. They're asking people to make decisions based upon a bunch of BS which they will themselves admit they cannot prove.

2. what does the bill even do?
For all the blathering about how great this bill is, there's nothing in there about what it actually does.

3. Apparently says life begins at conception, presumably to overturn reproductive choice

4. “As a direct result of three decades of legalized abortion on demand,
the nation has seen a dramatic rise in the incidence of child abuse"

What on earth does that mean? How does abortion lead to a "dramatic rise in the incidence of child abuse"?

Also, when was it proved that life begins at conception? I must have missed the memo.

I'm from Georgia originally and I despair for my state.
