I hate to bring this up however Malloy brought this up last night and Randi is talking about this today .

This does not seem like it is going away even after a year of hearing about it . Now it's Israel who is said to possibly start this . It no longer seems to be simply hype one can dismiss .

2. When Iraq was building a nuclear plant back in the 80's...
The US used Israel to take it out.
I'd say that is what is most being considered.
The US now has spent all it's credibility around the world, so a broader invasion is out of the
question.

3. An Israeli official claims they have 2 fighter-bomber squadrons training
for an attack on 3 sites in Iran. First wave would drop penetrator munitions, second wave, tactical nukes!!!!!!!

:grr:

5. I heard this on Hugh Hewitt's show yesterday (ugh)
Yes, I have to check in on the dark side every so often, and Hewitt was saying that this was a trial balloon launched by Israel to get the US to "get its act together" and deal with Iran, or else Israel will. The tactical nukes part REALLY got me concerned ... This kind of muscular posture seems more like a Sharon move than what I'd expect of Ohlmert (but I admit I don't know much about his political leanings).

6. Far too early. Its just posturing.
MAD was effective, and these early rumors server as a warning to Iran.

There is no evidence they have nuclear weapon-capable production yet.

7. Well, it's completely clear that *someone* is trying to spook Iran
into doing something stupid...OR, more likely, making it seem that Iran was spooked into doing something stupid.
