20. lets be logical here
it seems like a pretty obvious bill to vote aye. No one, not even conservatives want us to be unprotected in certain areas. So seriously, does anyone know the reasons why Drier, Hastert, and other Republicans voted nay? What was their take?

32. There were some
on the house floor last night frothing at the mouth as to why they wouldn't support the legislation. The human dingle-berry, Peter King, R-NY, former Chair of the Committee on Homeland Security led the charge. After all, these Bush flunkies had the majority and the Presidency and chose to do nothing. What stopped them, obsessing on Bill Clinton's penis?

21. The unanimity is great ...
... but what did we vote for? What are the details in the bill? Is this just a "Patriot Act in Sheep's Clothing", further cutting our 1st, 4th, 5th amendment rights? Does it seal the borders?

Are the Democratic Representatives really in agreement on the details of the bill? Or are they just marching in lockstep for 100 hours?

It's good to be the majority party, I'm just a little skeptical about steamrolling bills through without discussion. Especially this bill. I hope the Senate takes a more studied approach.

Regards.
