1. And the first political ad for their opponents is born.
"There are some who have forgotten the lessons of 9/11"

2. They clearly have a 9/11 mentality. Are they with us or with the terrorists?
Why can't they understand that, in this clash of "GOOD vs. EVIL", they are siding with ... ?

7. If it's Republicans voting, it's all about the money.
Some of these security measures would cost their corporate masters money. And we can't have that, can we?

15. Exactly - port security has been an issue for some time, but corpmedia barely
gives it the attention it needs. WE, the public, forced the Ports deal onto the radar. Of course, it just postponed it for the fascists while they came up with a roundabout plan to make it happen.

8. absolutely. scanning freight will add to the cost of product
with wages and loss of time to market. remember big business doesn't buy american parts anymore. Hmmm. Maybe this will make them start.

5. Yes ! And they are all whining like little babies about how the
rules weren't fair and that's why they are against it. Well, welcome to the other side. No one at a future date will remember the rules issue. They will remember that you voted no.

14. Tom Reynolds
What pisses me off is our district is very close to the Canadian border and by voting against it -- he voted against our districts safety. I will remember this for LTTE's in '08.

18. His time will come. He only eeeked his way through because old Jack Davis
didn't put up much of a fight. He just sat on the lead while Reynolds slimed around telling lies. 2008, the Dems will field a *real* candidate and...say "buh-bye" to Tommy!

20. I made over 2000 phone calls for Davis,
wrote 4 LTTE that were published, and spent two Saturdays doing a lit drop in the cold. I complained to Jack's campaign manager after it was over that I did expect the candidate to work as hard as the volunteers did. Jack was definitely a different kind of candidate.

I don't know -- we're hearing rumblings that Jack may try a third time. He will be 74 by then.

13. See Sennennsbrener from Wisconsin
is one of them.....he's the guy who thought he was such hot stuff to take the speakers away from the dems when they were having a meeting and called security to throw them out...he needs to be beaten in an election.

17. Too bad Bryan Kennedy couldn't beat Fat Jimmy
I can't stand Sensenbrenner, he's nothing but a fat slob with a annoying squeaky voice, he showed his true colors during the Judicary committee hearings on the renewal of the patriot act when a Dem was speaking Sensenbrenner would cut off there mikes and the lights would dim.

26. Sensenbrenner got 62% in November.
If he's involved in a scandal, and/or the Democratic candidate is great, he could be beaten.

But with no scandal and an ordinary opponent, he'll win again in 2008.

19. The democrats should yell - loud and long
that the republicans are the ones who say they are better on national security. So now the democrats should tell the American that the republicans are voting against national security. And they should do the same if bush veto's it.

27. The idiot repuke in my district
Elton Gallegly actually voted "aye" on this one. Maybe since this is his last term and he's just keeping the seat warm for the next R, he no longer feels the need to be a complete Bush rubber stamp. I'm shocked.
