I live in New York and many radio stations blacklisted the Dixie Chicks. One station just changed formats and they posted a poll for the record of the year. Please consider supporting the Dixie Chicks in this poll

9. WHY?

I live in a pretty red state (Alaska) and part of the year in Montana and the radio stations play the Dixie Chicks all the time in both places!

In Alaska, the good ol' boys in the rural area, the oil workers up north, the crab and salmon fisherman, the hockey players.. you name it ... all over the state, they love the Dixie Chicks and the fact that they speak their mind.

And I know from my family members that they LOVE them in Alabama, Georgia and Florida too.

You live in Fort Worth, Texas?

Take "No Bravery", the song that closes his debut album, "Back to Bedlam", for instance: It was written in Kosovo in 1999, while James was a reconnaissance officer in the British army. On patrol around Pristina, he kept his guitar bolted to the outside of his tank. But in quieter moments, it came out, as he wrote about life as a 22-year-old peacekeeper in the aftermath of one of the decade's bloodiest civil wars.
