And with a few exceptions (some really dumb-sounding misanthropes - including a teacher!), everyone was dead set against it. Even a lifelong Republican from Ohio who talked up tax cuts said only a small percentage of Americans are being asked to sacrifice in Iraq, and Bush needs to be stopped.
