The bodies that will pile up will NOT be symbolic. We didn't have a symbolic vote for you to take charge of congress. STOP THIS MADNESS.

NYTIMES: Democrats Plan Symbolic Votes Against Bush’s Iraq Troop Plan

~snip~ WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 — Democratic leaders said Tuesday that they intended to hold symbolic votes in the House and Senate on President Bush’s plan to send more troops to Baghdad, forcing Republicans to take a stand on the proposal and seeking to isolate the president politically over his handling of the war.

3. It is at the moment
What will remove the "symbolic" tag will be when and if the Congress passes this bill, until then it's nothing more then paper and ink, a symbol!!!!

5. Well, is there any other way to start to end this nonsense?
They're trying to do what needs to be done, and I for one won't be criticizing them for it.

2. This is BULLSHIT to counter Kennedy's move. Just like they pulled on Kerry-Feingold
withdrawal.

Pure bullshit to blow smoke at the base. Some Dem leaders think we are as dumb as the right's base.

4. Our party needs to quit running on 08
