Just what we need from Congress - Symbolism!
Bush and Cheney have to be laughing their asses off. Meantime, back in Iraq, the troops get sent in. As targets, there are more of them to shoot at. Kids die, and all Congress can offer is symbolism to this madman in the Oval Office.
I heard a Democratic Senator this AM say they are trying to get Bush's "Attention" with this non-binding resolution, showing the Senate Dems and Repubs are in agreement. Ho-hum.
When will these House and Senate legislators understand that Bush doesn't give a faq about what they think. Never has. Never will. And what part of Cheney's post election words of "As far as Iraq is concerned, it's full speed ahead," don't they freaking understand? Has anything changed? Certainly the Baker report was DOA. When are they going to get it? Bush and Cheney are telling Congress to go faq themselves, and will stall, and piss on everyone in the process, until stopped.
The "I" word needs to be put into play, but the Dem's are surely unwilling to do that, even though it's their duty to do so.
